Program Overview
The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital is a one-year ACGME-accredited program for physicians interested in pursuing further training and a career in the care of patients with serious, life-limiting illnesses. Our focus is to provide the clinical knowledge and judgement necessary for symptomatic treatment of these serious illnesses, and to provide the interpersonal skills and compassion necessary to connect with and comfort patients and their loved ones during these illnesses. We strive to provide a supportive interdisciplinary environment across a variety of experiences to allow gradual mastery of essential skills to be a leader in the delivery of high-quality hospice and palliative care.
