Program Overview 

The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mercy Health – Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a soon-to-be ACGME-accredited, three-year internal medicine residency program approved to accept eight residents each year. We are a community-based internal medicine residency program, where our residents are respected as integral members of the medical staff. 

Our program faculty have been hand selected based on their broad scope and diverse clinical, academic and leadership experience, all of which contribute to the excellence of what you can expect from our graduate medical education program. With our combined knowledge, passion, attitude and resilience, we created this program with a focus on evidence-based medicine, value-based care, lifelong learning, diversity, wellness and scholarly contribution. 

We are dedicated to preparing our residents to become respected physicians and leaders within the community in which they choose to serve. We strive in preparing our residents to become successful internal medicine physicians who excel at practicing medicine in a dynamic and rapidly changing health care environment. Our goal is to graduate exceptionally confident and capable physicians with outstanding clinical experience, medical knowledge, procedural skills, integrity, and passion. We are committed to providing residents with the occasion needed to achieve their goals. Mercy Health – Anderson Hospital offers a wide breadth of opportunities for our residents to learn, including advanced medical technology, research opportunity, ancillary support and mentorship. We facilitate research opportunities for residents to contribute to medical knowledge. Our program develops expertise in community and outpatient healthcare delivery. We prioritize the physical and mental well-being of our residents. Our program ensures that our residents cultivate leadership skills, and we offer participation in wide variety of committees and hospital initiatives. We support our residents’ initiatives that promote ongoing professional development.
