Mercy Health — Lourdes Hospital’s Shannah Poindexter has been presented the Distinguished Leader of 2019 award by the Kentucky Association of Hospice and Palliative Care (KAHPC).
The association honored Poindexter for her commitment to the hospice mission and to the promotion of end-of-life care. KAHPC describes award recipients as consistently exhibiting initiative in their job performance and possessing excellent organizational and creative problem-solving skills which contribute to effectiveness and improved efficiency of the Hospice Industry.
The Distinguished Leader of 2019 was presented to Poindexter at KAHPC’s recent meeting in Lexington. Earlier this year Poindexter received the Leader of the Year Award from Paducah Professional Women, Inc.
Poindexter serves at Lourdes as the hospital’s community relationship manager for its home health and hospice departments. Poindexter has worked at Lourdes since 2012.
