Flu Cases on the Rise in Lima: Area Hospitals, Health Departments Urge Community to Assist in Prevention Measures, Seek Appropriate Levels of Care

Area hospital and health system leaders, as well as public health officials are reporting a significant increase in flu cases across Lima and the surrounding communities. As flu season reaches peak levels, Mercy Health – Lima, Lima Memorial Health System, Allen County Public Health, Auglaize Health Department and Putnam County Health Department have come together to urge the community to take preventive measures and seek appropriate care based on symptom severity to ensure the best possible health outcomes for our residents while also preventing overwhelming our health care facilities.

National ‘Match Day’ Brings 26 Physician Residents and One Fellow to Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center

Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center is proud to announce that 26 incoming physician residents and one fellow have matched to its Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program for 2025. This new class includes 12 Internal Medicine residents, six Emergency Medicine residents, six Family Medicine residents, two Podiatric Medicine & Surgery residents, and—for the first time—a fellow in the new Healthcare Administration Leadership Management (HALM) Fellowship.
