St. Rita’s Named One of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2017 by Modern Healthcare
(LIMA; May 24, 2017) Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center was recently named one of 150 Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2017 by Modern Healthcare. Modern Healthcare was created 10 years ago, and honors healthcare workplaces throughout the industry that “empower employees to provide patients and customers with the best possible care, products and services.”
St. Rita’s is the only healthcare organization from Mercy Health to have been awarded this honor. The facility is also one of five hospitals in the state of Ohio to have been acknowledged and is the only medical center to be recognized in its 10-county service area.
Earlier this year, Modern Healthcare reached out to a random sample of St. Rita’s employees. They were asked to complete a survey that inquired about the employee recognition activities, holiday celebrations and gifts, support for continued learning and community involvement.
"We are proud of our hospital and are pleased that our employees feel the same the way about our mission, community and patients. We want to create an environment that our employees can be proud of and this recognition solidifies the fact that our team feels the same way. We are honored to have received this recognition,” said Bob Baxter, regional CEO and senior vice president of Mercy Health Lima Region.
Modern Healthcare will reveal the rankings of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2017 at their awards dinner in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sept. 28, 2017 during the magazine’s annual Workplace for the Future conference. The ranking will also appear in the October issue of Modern Healthcare. To view Modern Healthcare's full story visit: http://www.modernhealthcare.com/article/20170520/INFO/170519830
