Mercy Health Foundation Earns High Performer Designation

(CINCINNATI; March 8, 2017) – Mercy Health – a Catholic healthcare ministry serving Ohio and Kentucky, announces that the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) designated the Mercy Health Foundation a 2016 High Performer.

The Mercy Health Foundation joins 44 other High Performer organizations from the United States and Canada ranking in the top 25th percentile based on net production returns for 2015 results.  AHP considered more than 200 participating organizations for High Performer status.

In its Report on Giving survey, AHP analyzes institutions to determine key factors that lead to higher performance among participants. In the United States, net fundraising revenue for high performers is almost seven times higher than for all institutions reporting.

“This is a great honor,” said Jon Labbe, Mercy Health Foundation – Cincinnati President & Interim CEO.  “More importantly, it is a testament to the passionate work of our volunteers, staff and donors whose gifts help Mercy Health have a profound local impact in the communities we serve.”

“Giving is at the heart of our Mission,” said John Starcher, president and CEO of Mercy Health. “Our philanthropy work creates an important connection with donors, volunteers, patients and their families who know and have experienced the impact of faith-based care first hand. Ultimately, our patients and the communities we serve benefit most from the outstanding performance of the Mercy Health Foundation.”

The Mercy Health Foundation and its affiliate foundations in 10 communities across Ohio and Kentucky partner with donors to make lives better and communities stronger, with a special emphasis on those who are poor or under-served. The Mercy Health Foundation raises charitable funds to advance the mission of Mission of Mercy Health. The Mercy Health Foundation steps in with financial support to fill the gaps that prevent people from getting the health care they need by investing in the not-for-profit programs and facilities of Mercy Health. The Foundation helps bring life-affirming health care, at the highest possible level, to all people.
