Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon Joins Mercy Health Physicians

Mercy Health – Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon Mohi Mitiek, MD has joined Mercy Health Physicians.

Dr. Mitiek’s areas of expertise include a variety of innovative cardiac, thoracic and esophageal surgeries.

“Mercy Health has a robust team of cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, cardiologists and electrophysiologists across Cincinnati,” said Dr. Mitiek. “I’m excited to join this collaborative group in providing world-class care from locations convenient to our patients and their families.”

Dr. Mitiek received his medical degree from University of Tripoli, Libya, before coming to the U.S. for further surgical training. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Kansas University in Kansas City. He completed two fellowships – in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York, and Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
