Mercy Health is pleased to announce that Dr. Andrew Croak and his specialized team have joined Mercy Health women’s health services.
Mercy Health – St. Luke’s Urogynecology and Pelvic Rehabilitation is now located at 6005 Monclova Rd., Suite 320, Maumee, on the former St. Luke’s Hospital campus.
Dr. Croak is a long-established Obstetrician/Gynecologist who specializes in Urogynecology – a subspeciality that requires additional training to care for women with complex diagnoses related to pelvic health. Dr. Croak and his team provides expert treatments for a multitude of women’s health issues including pelvic floor issues, overactive bladder, infertility, endometriosis, annual women’s health screenings, menopausal care, DEXA scan screenings, pelvic pain, pelvic floor prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, among others.
“Women often think that pelvic pain and discomfort is a factor of aging, however, problems such as persistent pelvic pain or bladder and bowel control can be treated,” Dr. Croak said. “I feel privileged to have the opportunity to earn patients’ trust by helping them take back their lives and return to the things that they love to do without worry.”
Dr. Croak received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at Mercy Health - St Vincent Medical Center in Toledo and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Grandview/Southview Medical Centers in Dayton. Additionally, Dr. Croak completed a three-year fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery from the Mayo Clinic, making him one of the few surgeons in the country focused on this specialty.
The team offers the latest technologies in minimally invasive vaginal and pelvic surgery including robotic surgery, MyoSure Myomectomy, Mona Lisa Touch™, and more Minimally invasive surgical techniques have been shown to reduce postoperative pain and facilitate quicker recovery so that patients can resume their normal activities sooner.
Joining Dr. Croak at Mercy Health – St. Luke’s Urogynecology and Pelvic Rehabilitation are a team of specialized therapists who provide physical therapy services to address pelvic floor dysfunctions for women and men including urinary/bowel incontinence, urinary urgency and frequency, nighttime frequency, constipation, pelvic pain, post-surgical pelvic pain among others.
