Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital Partners with Tiffin City Schools
With the goal of improving the health of the greater Tiffin area, through enhanced access to quality care, Mercy Health and Tiffin City Schools are pleased to announce plans to open a primary care office in collaboration with the school district.
Mercy Health Tiffin Primary Care –located within the Tiffin City Schools will open its doors to patients on Jan. 9, 2017 at the Middle School location – 103 Shepherd Drive. The primary care office will be staffed by a certified nurse practitioner, supervised under the direction of a collaborating physician, and will offer students and employees of Tiffin City Schools convenient access to healthcare.
The primary care office will be open 8:00 am – noon every Monday that school is in full day session. Mercy Health Tiffin Primary Care at the Tiffin City Schools will accept most insurance providers. No student will be seen by a Mercy Health provider without permission from his or her parent. Parents will need to accompany their children.
The Tiffin City Schools will not use general fund money for the operation of the primary care office.
Our focus is on helping students be their best. This primary care office will provide immunizations, administer physicals and keep students well so they can be in the classroom ready to learn.
By building this partnership, Tiffin City Schools and Mercy Health are working to provide a convenience to parents and reduce student absenteeism by helping children get well and back into school.
