US News and World Report Names Oakwood Village Senior Living to its List of Best Nursing Homes

Mercy Health – Springfield announces that US News & World Report has named Oakwood Village Senior Living among the best nursing homes in the country for 2017-2018.

Oakwood Village received the top rating of five stars, based on US News’ analysis of data posted by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, making it a Top Performer.

U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 homes nationwide, across each state and in 100 major metropolitan areas. Only 15% of the facilities that U.S. News rated achieved “Top Performing” status by earning a rating of at least 4.5, placing Oakwood Village Senior Living among the best nursing homes in the nation.

US News’ ratings take into account a nursing home’s performance over time and place an emphasis on medical quality measures and the homes’ ability to provide rehabilitation services. Its methodology evaluates nursing homes to ensure that US News gives the designation of Best Nursing Home only to those homes that demonstrate appropriate use of key services and consistent performance in national quality measures.
