Community invited to An Evening Out for Heart Health
The public is invited to An Evening Out for Heart Health, a fun, informative event that will be held by Community Mercy Health Partners on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Springfield. The evening includes a health fair, engaging speakers, dinner, wine, door prizes and a silent auction. New to this year’s event is a Heart Hero Award to an individual who embodies heart health for themselves and others.
An important part of CMHP’s promise to the community is to make lives better … mind, body and spirit. The evening’s speakers will address each aspect as it relates to the heart:
• Mind: Sue Berger, Nurse Practitioner of the Chronic Care Clinic at Mercy Memorial Hospital
• Body: Sayed Tariq Rizvi, Interventional Cardiologist with Cardiologists of Clark and Champaign Counties.
• Spirit: Lynn White, retired former Director of Volunteer Services for CMHP
Pamela Young, PhD., a long-time educator and former chair of the CMHP Board of Directors, will serve as emcee. The event is open to men and women. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the program begins at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $20 and are available at the cashier’s office in the lobby of Springfield Regional Medical Center. For more information, call 937-523-1266.
