Mercy Health— Lourdes Hospital Hosting Critical Blood Drive in June
PADUCAH, KY, June 7, 2023 - Mercy Health — Lourdes Hospital, in partnership with the American Red Cross, is hosting a blood drive due to our nation's critical blood shortage, especially in our Western Kentucky region. With the ongoing blood shortage, every drop counts more than ever. Let's roll up our sleeves together for a cause that saves lives. Become a lifeline, give blood!
We are hosting the American Red Cross Blood Drive in the Borders Community Room from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26.
Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend scheduling an appointment. To schedule an appointment, visit www.redcrossblood.org and type in the sponsor code “mercylourdes” in the box next to the red “Make Your Appointment” button. You can also call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or text 270-349-7562.
To donate, you must meet the following criteria:
• Be at least 17 years old
• Weigh at least 110 lbs.
• Generally, feel well
• Have no fever, sore throat, or flu-like symptoms
• Have no active cold symptoms
• Have not had major surgery recently
Refreshments will be available. The Red Cross also provides a $15 e-gift card to donors.
