Paducah, KY (February 15, 2017) – Lourdes Foundation is pleased to announce that it surpassed its 2016 fundraising goal by raising $1.1 million throughout the past year.
The funds raised allowed Lourdes Foundation to continue its mission of building healthier communities to serve those most at risk—the poor and underserved.
In 2016, the Lourdes Foundation continued to give back to both the hospital and the community. Donations included 22 AEDs given to community churches in need; help for non-medical needs, including meals, transportation, and clothing for over 500 patients; and renovating and updating the inpatient dialysis unit.
“Thank you to each one of our donors who supported Lourdes Foundation this past year,” said Jessica Toren, Interim President of Lourdes Foundation. “You are helping us build healthier communities in mind, body, and spirit every day.”
Lourdes Foundation, part of the Mercy Health Foundation, was also recognized as a 2016 High Performer by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP). The Mercy Health Foundation is among 44 other High Performer organizations from the United States and Canada ranking in the top 25th percentile based on net production returns for 2015 results. More than 200 participating organizations were considered for High Performer status.
