St. Rita’s to offer Parkinson’s Support and Exercise Groups
(LIMA; March 2, 2017) Parkinson’s disease is a movement disorder. This chronic and progressive disorder affects nearly 1 million people in the U.S. alone. St. Rita’s Health Partners will continue to offer both Parkinson’s support and exercise groups for those who have been affected by this disorder.
The Parkinson’s Support Groups offer encouragement and hope. Whether it’s a person with Parkinson’s or a loved one affected, the support groups are open to those seeking guidance. Times and dates are listed here:
- Lima Area Parkinson’s Support Group
When: First Thursday of every month starting March 2, 2017
March - November 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Parkinson’s Exercise Program features exercise and education that will help slow down symptoms. This program focuses on strengthening, swallowing and speech issues, adaptive equipment and more. Those interested have two location options:
