St. Rita’s to Celebrate St. Rita’s Nursing School Alumni

Lima, September 8, 2016) Every five years, St. Ritas celebrates nurses who graduated from St. Ritas Nursing School. The five-year mark has approached, and the hospital will be hosting a celebration for these nursing alumni, and will also highlight the Class of 1966 as they celebrate their 50th Anniversary. This event will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 9, in St. Ritas Auxiliary Conference Center located at the main hospital, and more than 160 alumni have RSVPd.

St. Ritas Nursing School was a part of St. Ritas from 1921-1971. This was a three-year nursing program where students would take classes to become licensed in nursing, and would stay on-site at the hospital.

We are honored to be able to celebrate these nursing alumni, said Jacqueline Daley-Perrin, St. Ritas Medical Center Foundation President. Its so important to know your history. To be able to share and hear stories from those who have carried out our mission and have been a part of St. Ritas is really special.

The event will include a social hour, memorial service and luncheon. For more information, please contact Jacqueline Daley-Perrin at jldaley-perrin@mercy.com.
