Columbus Grove Students to Get Real-Life Learning Experience at St. Rita’s
(Lima, Ohio – September 30, 2016) On Monday, October 3, six Columbus Grove High School students will visit St. Rita’s Health Partners to tour our Emergency Department (ED) and other hospital areas. They will arrive at St. Rita’s Media Center’s main lobby located at 730 W. Market Street Lima, OH 45801 at 9 a.m.
These students are currently taking a biomedical science class led by Dave Hassan, science teacher at Columbus Grove High School. This class is designed for students interested in the medical field. Touring our hospital will allow them the opportunity to see what goes into creating an emergency department, and provide a hands-on approach.
The hospital tour will be led by Robb Recker, Director of Clinical Operations at St. Rita’s Medical Center. Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day functions of an ever-changing Emergency Department. They will also tour our rehabilitation floor and MyChart Bedside.
For the last three years, we have partnered with Columbus Grove High School to provide students with a real-life learning experience, and are pleased to continue this relationship.
Editor’s Note: Dave Hassan and students will be available for comment at 9:45 a.m.
