St. Rita’s announces expanded leadership roles
(Lima, June 6, 2016) St. Ritas Health Partners is happy to announce the expanded role of both Ronda Lehman and Dr. Kevin Casey. Dr. Kevin Casey will be transitioning from Vice President of Medical Affairs to Chief Clinical Officer for the Lima Region. Ronda Lehman will be transitioning from Chief Operating Officer, St. Ritas Professional Services to VP and Chief operating officer, Mercy Health Physicians, Lima.
Kevin Casey, DO joined St. Ritas Health Partners in March 2015 to serve in the role of vice president of Medical Affairs. Dr. Casey comes from Johnstown, Pa. where he held the position of Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director and the Director of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Casey completed his medical degree at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship and residency at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. He obtained his MBA at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He has served in healthcare leadership positions for the past 12 years in various capacities. Dr. Caseys responsibilities as vice president of medical affairs included close collaboration with all clinical departments and associated joint ventures, the chief of the medical staff and all medical staff division and department chiefs to provide professional expertise and input into the planning and programs dealing with healthcare delivery at St. Ritas.
Ronda Lehman joined Mercy in 1995. Lehman began her career in the pharmacy department of St. Ritas serving as director of pharmacy from 2001-2010 before transitioning to an administrative director, then executive director role with ever-expanding responsibilities. In 2010, Lehman joined the administrative team as vice president of hospital operations overseeing radiology, pharmacy, laboratory, social work, care coordination, one-call transfer, utilization review and behavioral health. In 2013, Lehman decided to transition to the physician practice and ambulatory side of healthcare, as chief operating officer at St. Ritas Professional Services. As COO, Lehman worked with the various primary care, specialty practices and the hospitalists programs throughout the region.
Lehman received her Bachelor of Science from Ohio Northern University (ONU) and a Doctor of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University. She then went on to complete her MBA at Tiffin University. She also completed the Executive Management Program for Pharmacy Leaders at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
