As the pandemic recedes, are you interested in getting out of the house and helping others? Mercy Health seeks volunteers for new and exciting opportunities to serve patients, visitors and staff at Clermont Hospital, located at 3000 Hospital Drive, Batavia, Ohio 45103, and Eastgate Medical Center, 601 Ivy Gateway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245.
The following opportunities are available:
- Clermont Hospital – Gift Shop Clerk: Assist customers with sales, operate the cash register, take phone orders, keep shop neat and clean and help with inventory.
- Clermont Hospital – Main Lobby Registration: The hospital needs morning and afternoon volunteers who can assist our patients and registration staff. Duties include greeting patients, signing them in and directing them to the correct registrar.
- Clermont Hospital – Patient Visitor: Bring cheer and companionship to hospitalized patients.
- Clermont Hospital – Pet Therapy: Bring your licensed therapy pet to the hospital to comfort patients and the care team.
- Clermont Hospital – Same-Day Surgery Waiting Room Reception: Join our surgery team by serving at the desk in the family waiting room. You will reconnect families with their surgery patient, put packets together, answer the phone and be the go-between for staff and families.
- Clermont Hospital – Senior Behavioral Health Patient Companion: These volunteers serve as companions to our geriatric patients in the Behavioral Health department. Duties include reading to patients, playing games, working on puzzles together, etc. This rewarding position involves providing direct assistance to patients. Hours are flexible.
- Eastgate Medical Center – Main Lobby Registration: Assist patients and registration staff. Duties include greeting patients, signing them in and directing them to the correct location.
