Ovarian Cancer Awareness Event
In recognition of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and to help educate the community about ovarian cancer and to learn how to catch it early when it is most treatable, Mercy Health - Paducah Cancer Center is hosting a free Ovarian Cancer Community Education Event. The event will include ovarian cancer education tables to explain the disease and outline genetics relating to the disease and including an educational table hosted by the University of Kentucky Division of Gynecologic Oncology Ovarian Cancer Screening Program.
At 12:00 PM, in the Marshall Nemer Pavilion Borders Community Room, Mercy Health Physician and OB/GYN Miriam Slatter-Hall, MD, will give a
“Lunch and Learn” talk for the public on Ovarian Cancer Updates. This will include topics such as
- Understanding causes and prevention of ovarian cancer.
- Advances in ovarian cancer screening and diagnosis
- Advances in treatment options for ovarian cancer
