Eye Exams and Vision Testing

Regular eye exams are an important part of your overall health routine. During these exams, your vision will be tested to make sure your glasses or contacts lens prescription is up to date. The internal structures of your eye will be carefully examined. You may be given eye drops to dilate each pupil, which will give your eye doctor a better view of the entire retina. Simple tests may also be performed to check your eye alignment, eye movement and depth perception. Eye exams usually take between 30 minutes and an hour to complete.
