I am a liver and pancreas trained transplant surgeon who specializes in treatment for the best possible patient outcome. Before coming back to Youngstown, I was a transplant attending at Allegheny in Pittsburgh. These surgeries are performed robotically and open. I also perform liver directed therapy with robotic or open placement of hepatic artery infusion pumps for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer to the liver.

	November 2024 When I was diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma Dr. Chirichella provided close medical observation throughout chemo and radiation treatments. He encouraged me and explained the purpose if all procedures to me...he was, and continues to be so empathetic. Dr. Chirichella performed whipple surgery on me after my chemo and radiation procedures and has closely monitored me during the two year post whipple screening. I am thankful Dr. Chirichella has been my surgeon/doctor through this difficult time.
