What is a Medical group?

Mercy Health Physicians is a medical group of primary care physicians, specialists, advanced practice clinicians and dedicated staff employed by Mercy Health. More than 2,700 providers serve our communities throughout Kentucky and Ohio to make health care easier and lives better for our patients, providing health care where and when you need it.  

Our multi-specialty integrated medical practice enables us to provide the very best in patient care through coordinated communication and technology. As one team with shared access to electronic health records (EHR), we can make an impact in improving the overall health and wellness of our patients and communities.  

Our work as a unified medical practice is based on our Mission to extend the compassionate ministry of Jesus by improving the health and well-being of our communities, especially the poor, dying and underserved.

	Accountable Care Organization	Mercy Health Select is a Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) Accountable Care Organization (ACO)  Accountable Care Organizations are groups of clinicians, hospitals and other health care providers who come together voluntarily to give coordinated high-quality care a designated group of patients.  Learn more

	MyChart	MyChart can help you take control of your health with free, personalized and secure 24/7 online access to health care. With MyChart, patients of Mercy Health can make an appointment, view health information, get test results, refill prescriptions and communicate with your care team.  Learn more
	Evisits	You can now access non-real-time virtual care via MyChart. These confidential care consultations are submitted by a questionnaire to your current provider or by selecting “first available provider.”  Unlike all other forms of virtual care, you can submit requests and engage in a clinical care encounter with a doctor or advanced practice provider wherever and whenever is convenient for you. There is no need to schedule time with a provider or spend time communicating with their office or a contact center to submit an Evisit.
	Virtualists and On-demand visits	Our Primary Care Virtualist program and on-demand visits are designed to offer enhanced access to our established patients who have a same-day care need.  If you need virtual care, our Primary Care Virtualists act as partners with your primary care provider. This program does not replace traditional in-person care but is an added benefit for times when you need immediate care outside of an emergency. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, it is important to still call 911.
