Head and Neck Cancer Support Group
The "Why"
Head and neck cancer can feel extremely isolating from the time of diagnosis to after the completion of treatment. Survivorship can be challenging mentally, emotionally and physically. Our goal is to foster a community where you are provided the space to meet others who have either completed treatment or are currently undergoing chemo-radiation. We hope relationships can be fostered based upon shared experiences and provide a sense of hope and community that we so often need during challenging times.
What To Expect
Each month, we will aim to present 15 to 20 minutes of information that's practical, helpful and encouraging. At our first meeting, we would like to hear your personal wants or needs to assist with better tailoring our education. This will provide the most relevant, applicable information possible. The remainder of the time will be for organic conversation and getting to know the fantastic people we hope will be attending.
Currently, we ask patient-only attendance to establish this newfound safe space. Caregivers and family members may be invited dependent on patient preference, along with designated dates that will be communicated as needed.
