2010 Golf Classic with Peyton Manning
On Monday, June 21, more than 220 golfers participated in this year's Golf Classic with Peyton Manning. The tournament was held at the beautiful Fox Den Country Club where participants enjoyed breakfast, lunch, door prizes and a great day of golf! Peyton Manning was in attendance where he played a hole with golfers and took photos with each team.
This year was another huge success, raising more than $150,000 for the Geriatric Assessment Program (GAP) at Mercy. The GAP Program is a multi-disciplinary, outpatient assessment and treatment program designed to address the emotional, social and functional health of individuals ages 55 and older. It detects early changes, provides early intervention and helps your loved ones live the highest quality of life possible. GAP provides a social support system for families that are caregivers and provides specialized care for patients so they can remain independent. This program is not offered anywhere else in Knoxville, is currently serving 2,300 patients and maintains a waiting list. We are proud to support such a worthy cause!
